While most Americans will be eating turkey and watching football this weekend, you'll find our friends across the pond engaged in a much chicer and healthier pursuit. Announcing the 2011 Rugby Ralph Lauren London Tweed Run, kicking off from our Covent Garden store and heading out for a 12-mile spin through London's streets in the name of fashion, cycling and the love of all things tweed.

Britian's love affair with tea began in 1662 and has been going strong ever since. By 1938, the per capita yearly tea consumption reached 9.11 punds, and a tea tradition was firmly established in British culture. Afternoon tea is part of the fabric of the country as much as tweed, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and even Buckingham Palace.

We'll take any reason to have a party, and the opening of our new London store is an excuse we weren't about to pass up. Last Monday was the official fete for our new Covent Garden location, and we made the most of the occasion with great tunes provided by UK bluegrass band Flats & Sharps, plenty of friends and one seriously adorable puppy.
