Denver-based band Tennis is quickly making it onto our regular playlist rounds. The husband and wife duo, who met in a philosophy class in college, started making music together after returning from a seven month sailing expedition, and we're glad they did. Juergen Teller at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery:
Most will recognize Teller for his specific style of commercial work, but Lehmann Maupin gallery's new exhibit showcases a more personal side to the photographer. With three different series on display, patrons will get a variety of styles, from shots of Kristen McMenamy inside architectural icon Carlo Mollino's home, to portraits of Vivienne Westwood and William Eggleston. The exhibition starts today through March 17, at 201 Chrystie Street, New York, New York.

Hailed as the "Oscars of the design world," the Design Museum's Design Awards exhibit goes on display this week with a freshly announced list of nominees for 2012 spanning seven different categories. Within the areas of architecture, digital, fashion, and furniture (to name a few), the London-based museum is honoring some of the most innovative and progressive designers from around the world.
