Take Ivy, Take Two

The good news: the much-drooled-over reissue of Take Ivy comes out today. The bad news: unless you were one of the Ivy fanatics who pre-ordered months ago, you’re still not getting a copy. The cult following for Japanese photographer T. Hayashida’s 1965 opus on American Ivy League style reached a frothing frenzy when Powerhouse Books announced last year they would be republishing the highly sought-after volume. The first printing of 16,000 books has been sold out for weeks now, but there’s a glimmer of hope. A second printing is in the works and due into the warehouse in about three weeks. Though it’s already half spoken for, that means the other half is still up for grabs, so we suggest you pre-order now. In the meantime, we’ve got scans after the jump to keep you sated.
