Today we take you behind the scenes at the Rugby design room for a first glimpse at our newest line for women. Inspired by daydreams of a semester abroad in Paris — ah, how we long for afternoons roaming the Seine and nights café-hopping in the Marais — our brilliant designers came up with looks that are two parts sweet French schoolgirl, one part irreverent rebel. To wit: take a uniform-inspired sweater or blazer, nipped and tucked in just the right places to show off your hyper chic figure (hold the “h,” please), and pair it with flirty florals in gauzy fabrics. The line’s blue and white palette is like a breath of fresh Parisian air after winter’s somber tones, while the mix of strong graphic elements, like bold stripes and vintage stamping, is the perfect foil to a pop of girly pink in a scarf or beret. Now all that’s left is to do is pucker your lips and practice a pouty moue; you’ll be rolling your “r”s in no time.
