WISH LIST: ’Tis the Season
Miscellany
If you buy into the old adage, it’s better to give than to receive. But we have a slightly different take on that theme here at Rugby; we think it’s best to give and receive. In that spirit, all next week we will be sharing our picks of Rugby’s hottest items this holiday season — for giving away, or keeping all to yourself. So read up and share the love, or just revel in the knowledge that you’ll be the best-dressed cat wherever your party shoes take you this month. (Now that’s the kind of gift that keeps on giving.)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING: Give Thanks, Give Back with the new “17” Patch
Social Action
At Rugby, we’re giving back in a very special way this holiday season with our new “17” patch. In an exclusive collaboration with Seventeen magazine, we’ve created this fresh addition to our collection of awesome patches that allow you to make a difference while making a statement: for every “17” patch you buy, you’ll provide 25 meals for children through the World Food Program of the United Nations. Tack it on your FEED bag, stitch it on your Make Your Own rugby or slap it on the back pocket of your jeans — and look for it on Virtual MTV, too (why not let your avatar join in the fun?). “17” patches are $10 and available exclusively in Rugby stores. Coming soon to Rugby.com. See a close-up photo after the jump.

MEN’S STYLE: Vest Dressed
Style
Old, fat dudes aren't really known for setting fashion trends, but that's exactly what a Edward VII of England did in the early 1900s. Really. Legend has it the chubby British ruler couldn’t squeeze into his vest while dressing for some aristocratic shindig — so he just up and left the bottom button undone. It should have caused a scandal; instead, the look was immediately copied for its air of negligent nonchalance. Leaving the last button undone has remained one of those esoteric sartorial rules ever since, and it’s one that very few guys actually know. (Same rule goes for cardigans.) So next time you're rocking a vest, whether layered over an oxford-cloth buttondown or a rocker T-shirt, leave the bottom button undone (or take it a step further and leave the bottom two undone, like Andre does with our herringbone version). It's one time where following a rule, rather than breaking it, is the road less taken.

RUGBY FINDS: Sou Fujimoto’s “Next Generation House”
Miscellany
Is it weird that we're crushing on this so-called "Next Generation House"? We admit it's hard to imagine living in a dwelling without closets…or furniture…or bathrooms…or a kitchen, yet we are as gaga for the simple lines and ingenious design of the structure as a 14-year-old girl at a Robert Pattison sighting . . .
